Broad, pocket sized, and easy to use, are the words Magellan uses to describe the Maestro 4220. At 0.7” deep, Magellan has redesigned their Maestro products to be even thinner than before. At the heart of the unit is a 12-channel SiRFStar III, WAAS GPS antenna for superior satellite tracking and reception. The Maestro 4220 is powered by the included 12 volt adapter or it can run off the built in Li-ion battery for approximately 3 hours of use.
Loaded to every Maestro 4220 is the entire Navteq database for the United States, Canada and Mexico including 6 million Points of Interest. Simply use the touch screen to enter a specific location or specific point of interest and the Magellan Maestro 4220 will give a route to your finish. With the Magellan QuickSpell technology the Magellan 4220 will reject letter choices bringing you to your street name or POI name faster. Once you are underway the Maestro 4220 will guide you with both spoken and on screen instructions to safely path you to your destination.
If that is not enough, the Maestro 4220 will in addition to announce the name of the street that you are turning onto using Magellan’s SayWhere technology with Text-to-Speech. If you get away track, the 4220 will recalculate your route and get you back on trail within secs.
